What a clinic covers
Whatever you and your horse bring.
Work in-hand
Learn to work with your horse in-hand: the foundation of the classical school.
Through the back, on the bit
Better understand what it means to ride a horse through the back and correctly on the bit.
Solve a training issue
Bring the issue you are having. Tressa finds the needed ingredients for each session.
Tressa brings a richness and substance to her lessons. A rider with the desire to learn about classical dressage will greatly benefit from Tressa's ability to communicate her wealth of knowledge. She has a great love of the horse and feels a responsibility towards them; it is this that fuels her passion for teaching, with the goal that her students become better horsemen, learning to be compassionate towards their horses while developing into riders with conscious capability.
The ability to achieve one's training goals, no matter the level of horse or rider, always lies in the foundation of training. The better you understand the objectives of the training scale, the more understandable it becomes to solve training issues. Tressa meets horse and rider where they are, providing riders with clear, patient instruction.

To help the horse we must first correct the rider's awareness and approach. It is only when we better understand our horse that we can achieve a harmonious partnership.

Improving each student's equitation awareness helps them become more aware of how their body influences their horse, with a skill set that brings about better tact and timing, and gives them the best chance to harmoniously communicate with their horse.
